Many thanks to Farbror Punk for the following info!
Formed 1979 by guitarist Niklas Andersson and bassist Tommy Eger. Jörgen Brake played drums and sang. The group became a quartet in the spring of 1981 when they picked up Perry Ingman as a drummer and Jörgen became a guitarist instead. With this setting, they won in autumn -82, a rock-band contest where first prize was a single recording. The "Polis, Polis" 7" was recorded days before New Year's Eve the same year at Pop Studio in Eskilstuna. The sale of the record was a bit different, they organized a concert where the audience, for only 3$ entry fee, was offered their single and to watch three bands on stage. Almost all of the 500 copies was sold that night.
When Jörgen in early 1984 decided to leave their hometown, they decided to hold a farewell gig in Eskilstuna Folketshus on Maundy Thursday. The group replaced Jörgen with Tony Andersson, the former lead singer of the band Kontaktlim, but some time later the band split and all went in different directions. And now WC have released a CD as well - 29 years after the "7". He who waits...
